Hi Steven.
We met at OGII when you did the Ice Cap Demo there. I had my daughter with me that day. Anyway, I have a question or questions for you on the Kati Ani. I recently purchased a used one and when I recieved it, the Kati was exhausted. I’m guessing that the Ani was as well. I tried following the directions for regeneration as much as possible but I made a slight mistake. After the Kati and Ani was regenerated, I flushed the Ani with Muriatic acid which was sitting in the Kati. I forgot to flush the Kati with water after it was regenerated. Do you think I screwed up the Ani by doing this?
The problem that I am having now is that I’m only able to get a TDS of 3-4 coming out of the Kati Ani. Shouldn’t the TDS be 0? The water coming out of the faucet has a TDS of 169. I am making 10 gallons of water per hour. Maybe less. So far I have made 100 gallons of water and the Kati is half way exhausted. The TDS coming out of the Kati Ani has risen to 9. So it looks like I will have to regenerate every 150 gallons. Does this seem right? I tried to get a hold of Bruce, but he is a hard man to find. Thanks for your help.
