Thus far, I’m told that ROVs and electronics operations is the way to go… going to community college (in Tampa we have the Hillsborough Community College) to learn/get certified in electronics would be a great idea while simultaneously volunteering at the local aquarium out here as well as interning at a marine research company like Odyssey or something along those lines. onlinescuba.com

What schools are good for Marine Biology?

What schools are good for Marine Biology? art
I'm a freshman in high school, and I have my heart set on being a Marine Biologist. If anyone could help me, I would like to know what are some of the best schools for Marine Biology? What should I major in? How long would I have to go to school? I would prefer schools in the warmer/ coastal states i.e. FL, CA, etc. because I live in MN at the moment and I am very fed up with the winter chill. Also, my parents think that I should look at a 2-year plan at a college, and (try to) get a job at an aquarium or somewhere that would involve Marine Biology, and see if they would (help) pay for the continuation of my education. If that is even possible, what are some businesses/ colleges that support that? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you all very much for taking the time to read and answer my question, I'm looking forward to all the help and answers! Zach. Oh, and what are some good places in Minnesota for me to volunteer that would look good on an application. Preferably aquariums/ zoos. answers.yahoo.com
